Salted Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oh my goodness! You guys! This is one of my favorite cookies. Period.

Remember those 3 ingredient Nutella Brownies that I posted a while back? It was one of the easiest yet extremely decadent brownies that I ever made and ate. When I was thinking about ideas for cookies to make for this holidays, I thought of these brownies and wondered if I could make cookies out of them! How awesome would that be?! Right!?

Since they are cookies, I thought why not amp up the chocolate and add some chocolate chips to the mix and some sea salt to cut down on all that sweetness and make it just a tad more delicious with all the nutty-ness from the Nutella.

These cookies are not your typical crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside cookies. They are altogether nice and crispy for the most part. Then the magic happens when you dunk them in some milk, all the crispiness gives in to some nice soft and chewy cookies.

So, are you gonna make these cookies this holiday or what? I am telling you this much  - everyone will love them and you, for making these for them.

Salted Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies – The Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1 ¼ cup Nutella
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bitter sweet chocolate chips
  • 2-3 teaspoon sea salt

Method:

Mix the Nutella, flour and egg together to form a loose dough that will stay together when held together with some pressure. Add the chocolate chips to this and mix well.

Pre heat the oven to 350F. Cover the cookie dough in plastic wrap and stick it in the freezer for about 15 mins.

Roll out lemon sized balls of the cookie dough and flatten them on a cookie sheet topped with Silpat or parchment paper. Sprinkle some salt on them and bake for about 15 mins. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container.

Note: The dough will be drier than regular cookie dough and you may have to work to keep the cookie in shape, but that’s ok.
