To this sugar and water mixture, add some food grade edible rose petals or dried rose (do not use potpourri!!), ground cardamom and saffron. It is then simmered for a few minutes to let all the flavor infuse. Strain and let it cool down to room temperature. Store in a glass bottle in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 weeks.
