Fill a mixing tin or a cocktail mixer with cubed ice.
Add all the ingredients to it.
Close and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Double strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Serve right away.
This goes without saying. But use a good quality whiskey or bourbon that is at least 90 proof alcohol.
Use real maple syrup and not pancake syrup. That is not maple syrup, sorry!
Make one cocktail at a time. The measurement and the mixing works better when you are making one at a time.
