Delicious super food avocado toast with feta and dukkah and a squeeze of lemon is the perfect way to start your day or to even boost your day as a mid-day snack!

Avocado Toast with Feta and Dukkah - www.cookingcurries.com

We are just back from a delicious 2 week long vacation to Sydney and I warn you that a good number of posts are coming your way about all the delicious thing we ate there. We ate and ate and ate and still couldn’t get enough of all the great food that was there to eat. Sigh! I think I need another few more weeks and a few more stomachs to finally be able to get a sense of having eaten most of what this wonderful city has to offer.

This quick avocado toast with feta and dukkah is a copycat recipe from one of the breakfasts we had at Baker Bros Café in the CBD (Central Business District) area of Sydney. It was my first encounter with dukkah and I loved it. It is a simple mix of nuts and seeds and spices and there are as many variations of it as you can make with the kind of nuts and seeds and spices available. Even though dukkah is very typically a middle eastern condiment, it is widely used in Australia as salad topping, crust for grilling fish and meat and a lot of things. The simplest and most delicious way to enjoy this condiment, as I learned from a friend, is to dip some bread in warm olive oil and then in dukkah and devour it.

Without further ado, here is the recipe for this Avocado toast that I know you will rush into the kitchen to make it right now, because, trust me, it is that good! You can find dukkah in specialty stores and on Amazon too.

I hadn't either and now it's one of my favorite condiments. I'm gonna make some of my own now.
